Horse Riding in Serbia: From First Ride to Wild Trails
Discover Serbia's mountain landscapes from the saddle, at your own pace. Set around 1,100 metres in the Povlen mountains, Taor welcomes complete beginners as well as intermediate and experienced riders looking for a slower, more immersive way to ride. With several guides available, groups are divided by level so every rider — from first-timer to advanced — can experience the landscape at the right rhythm. Ride through high meadows, forest trails, clear mountain springs and remote countryside, building confidence day by day or simply enjoying more time in the saddle without the pressure to push the pace. For advanced riders, Taor also opens up longer, more challenging routes across the Povlen ridges and high steppe, with varied terrain and the chance to move at a faster rhythm when the group allows. But Taor goes beyond riding. Between local food, Serbian traditions, time with the horses and life at the mountain estate, this is a chance to discover a lesser-known side of Serbia and reconnect with nature along the way. One trail, different ways to ride: Taor is designed to flex around the rider. Complete beginners start gently, with shorter routes and close guidance, while intermediate and experienced riders can follow fuller routes, add more demanding sections, or choose to slow things down and focus on the landscape, the horses and rural life around them.
